Thoughts and feelings
Notice what triggers anxiety, how worry develops and the beliefs or experiences that may sit underneath it.
When worry, overthinking or a constant feeling of unease starts to take over, counselling can offer a calm place to understand what is happening and feel less alone with it.
It might feel like racing thoughts, a tight chest, irritability, panic, avoiding situations or always expecting something to go wrong. Children and teenagers may show anxiety through changes in behaviour, sleep, school attendance, confidence or physical complaints.
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. Shaz offers private, one-to-one counselling for adults, young people and children from age five, helping each person explore their experience at a pace that feels manageable.
In-person appointments take place at Radiance & Remedy, 60 Carter Street, Uttoxeter ST14 8EU. Online counselling is also available where appropriate.
Sessions: £50
Introductory call: Free, 15 minutes
Counselling is not about being told to “stop worrying”. It creates room to understand patterns and find responses that fit the person.
Notice what triggers anxiety, how worry develops and the beliefs or experiences that may sit underneath it.
Understand physical signs, avoidance, reassurance-seeking or other patterns that may keep anxiety feeling powerful.
Develop greater self-understanding and explore practical changes without pressure, judgement or a one-size-fits-all plan.
Shaz draws from person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches. This allows sessions to respond to the individual rather than forcing everybody through the same method.
She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, membership number 416426.
Meet ShazYou can begin with whatever feels most present today. You do not need to explain everything at once.
Counselling can give you space to explore anxiety, recognise patterns and understand what may be contributing to it. No particular outcome can be guaranteed, and Shaz will discuss whether her service feels appropriate for your needs.
